実近修平とともに全国各地にてムビラセレモニーが開催されます。

私たちは彼らとともにMbiraというBOOKSを通して
共振することになるでしょう。

2025年のこの大切な時、シンボッティ師、そして我らが実近修平による
Mbiraーショナの伝承音楽の儀式に魂が触れることのできるまたとない機会です。
Star Poets Galleryでは3/29と6/19の2回の公演となっております。

実近修平のツアーへの想い
前回からはや6年もの歳月が経とうとしています
2017年の開催を考えていたとき、Simboti tourを3回はやろうと決めていました
そして今回が第3回目です
あれから私の演奏がどれほど成長したのかを試す機会でもあります
日本でツアーをやるというのなら、ショナの文化の伝承者だと思っているSimbotiの伝えたいことを演奏の中で実現する必要があります
時節は大きな転換点上にあると感じています
これからくる世界を私たちはどういう認識で迎えるのか
その認識を探る一つの足がかりになれば幸いです

プレイヤー紹介
Rinos Mukuwurirwa Simboti（リノス ムクウリルワ シンボッティ）
1968年に、ショナ民族の土着信仰の儀式で、生きる伝説といわれた Mubayiwa Bandambiraと出会い師事する。
現在まで50年以上儀式のための演奏家。儀式での演奏者で伝承者、またMBIRAの製作者でもある。
Mubayiwaのあと、その息子であるGwengwe Bandambiraにも師事した。
実近修平（さねちか しゅうへい）
ちいさなころからこころの奥で美しいものが鳴り響いている
その美しいものには旋律がある
その旋律を見せてくれたのは
ショナ民族のMbira奏者のRinos Mukuwurirwa Simbotiだった
自分の内部にあったものが他者により現されることを喜び、師事をはじめる
それを物質（＝音楽）として現わすためにMbiraを弾き続けている
美しいものを目の前に現れたひとたちへ伝え共有することを喜びとしている
Mbira（ムビラ） について
アフリカ南部に位置するジンバブエのショナ民族に、1000年以上前から土着信仰の儀式で使われる楽器。
先祖への感謝を捧げ、先祖から子孫は生き抜くための智慧や力を受け取るとされる。
Simbotiの師であるBandambiraの流派ではMBIRAの機能を「Remind(想起させること)」としている。
各曲に込められたさまざまな教えが、この世界を生き抜くために想起させてゆく。
また、Simbotiは本であると言っている。
このツアーへのSimbotiからのメッセージ
Blow is my message about the wind that we breathe thar goes around the Earth
The wind that sweeps the Earth brings both blessings and curses but to reap its blessing one must cultivate goodness on the contrary bad deeds will only attract unfavorable winds thar will deprive the individual of the blessing of one’s life
So on earth you must have good heart to get blessings from this wind that sweeps around the earth
So this is my message
吹き渡る風のメッセージ
地球を巡る風は、祝福をもたらすこともあれば、試練を運ぶこともある。
だが、その祝福を受け取るためには、心に善を育まねばならない。
もしも悪しき行いを積めば、巡る風は厳しくなり、
人は自らの人生の恵みを奪われることになるだろう。
だからこそ、地上に生きる者は、清らかな心を持たねばならない。
そうすれば、吹き渡る風は祝福をもたらし、
その人の生を、豊かに満たしてくれるのだから。
これが、私のメッセージです

すべての者が、創造主によって与えられたこの風を吸って生きている。
だが、もしこの風から良きものを受け取りたいのなら、
心を清らかにしなさい。
愛に満ち、憎しみを持たぬ心であれ。

Performer Introduction
Rinos Mukuwurirwa Simboti
In 1968, he met and became a disciple of Mubayiwa Bandambira, who was regarded as a living legend in the Shona people’s indigenous religious rituals. For over 50 years, he has dedicated himself to performing in these ceremonies, serving as both a musician and a preserver of tradition. He is also a skilled Mbira maker. After training under Mubayiwa, he later became a disciple of Mubayiwa’s son, Gwengwe Bandambira.
Shuhei Sanechika
Since childhood, I have felt a beautiful resonance deep within my heart. This beauty had a melody, and it was Rinos Mukuwurirwa Simboti, the Mbira master of the Shona people, who revealed that melody to me. The joy of seeing something that had always existed within me being expressed by another led me to become his disciple. I continue to play the Mbira as a way to materialize (in the form of music) that beauty. My greatest joy is to share this beauty with those who stand before it.
Shuhei Sanechika’s Thoughts on the Tour
It has already been six years since the last tour. When we planned the 2017 event, we decided that we would hold three Simboti tours. This time marks the third tour.
It is also an opportunity for me to test how much my playing has grown since then. If I am to organize a tour in Japan, I must ensure that Simboti’s message—the message of a true custodian of Shona culture—is conveyed through my performance.
I feel that we are standing at a great turning point in time. How will we perceive the world that is about to come? I hope this tour will serve as a stepping stone in exploring that awareness.
About the Mbira
The Mbira is a musical instrument that has been used for over a thousand years in the indigenous rituals of the Shona people of Zimbabwe, located in southern Africa. It is played to express gratitude to the ancestors, and it is believed that through the ancestors, descendants receive the wisdom and strength needed to survive.
In the tradition of Bandambira, who was Simboti’s teacher, the function of the Mbira is to “Remind”—to evoke memory. Each song carries a wealth of teachings, guiding us in navigating the world.
Simboti also says that the Mbira is a book.
